2005 Navajo Nation Mission

The mission trip to the Navajo Nation in 2005 was an opportunity for our church to connect with a Bible Church in Dennehotso, Arizona. The team that went out from Nor'wood Bible Church poured a slab for a basketball court, rewired the church building, painted a shed, presented a Vacation Bible School for the kids, put on a wrestling clinic in a local school, and did a marriage seminar for the adults. In the midst of much wind and fine red sand, the short-term mission team was able to accomplish many things for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.

2004 Navajo Nation Mission

The mission trip at the end of March was an opportunity for us to connect with a church in the Navajo Nation—Hidden Springs Bible Church. We were privileged to worship with them, sharing testimonies and a biblical challenge with them on a Sunday morning. We enjoyed hearing hymns and songs in both the Navajo language and English. The people in the congregation were warm and giving. The entire church turned out one evening and blessed our mission team with a Navajo taco dinner. It was a wonderful meal and a sacrifice of love on their part. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them and hearing how God was working in their lives and ministry. The work projects that we helped them complete were pouring a slab of concrete for an outdoor kitchen, replacing the rafters and corrugated roofing that had blown off an open-air chapel that they use for camp meetings, fixing a water pump and building water protection for the area where the pump is housed, and putting up florescent lights in an outdoor kitchen area. We are looking forward to additional opportunities developing for us to return and engage in additional ministry.
