Construction (Developing Members)—Equip

The Construction phase includes Christ-centered members who are serious about growing in the faith and the disciplines of the Christian life. The personal growth of these members is a demonstration of a devotion to prayer, a hunger to learn and generosity in giving. Their growth in the corporate life of NBC is seen through their participation in fellowship, their others-oriented mind-set, their involvement in ministry and their passion for evangelism. Construction members are developing and functioning in their role of fulfilling the purpose of NBC.

Our Responsibility To Equip And Construct

Ephesians 4:11-13 “11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”

1 Corinthians 12:7 “Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.”

Hebrews 3:12-13 “12 See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”

Hebrews 10:24-25 “24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. 25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

1 Peter 2:4-5 “4 As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him— 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”
