Congregation (Becoming Members)-Encourage

The Congregation is made up of believers who have been baptized and have made a membership covenant to our church family. Prior to their membership covenant, they will have read the Doctrinal Statement and By-laws of NBC, filled out an application for membership, and attended a membership class or personally participated in a membership interview. They become members because they sense the importance of belonging to this fellowship and participating in our ministry. Congregation members understand and support the purpose and direction of NBC.

Our Responsibility To Encourage Church Membership

Acts 2:47 "And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

Acts 4:4 "But many who heard the message believed, and the number of men grew to about five thousand."

Ephesians 4:16 "From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work."

1 Timothy 3:14-15 "14 Although I hope to come to you soon, I am writing you these instructions so that, 15 if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth."
